ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Customer Service Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member with Demetria Carter - State Farm Agent, plays a vital role in providing outstanding customer service and administrative support within Dee Carter State Farm Agency. This position is the first point of contact for clients — answering phones, processing billing inquiries, and assisting with policy-related requests. The Service Specialist collaborates closely with the sales team to support retention efforts, maintain compliance, and contribute to the agency’s growth and customer satisfaction goals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors, ensuring a positive and friendly first impression.
  • Assist customers with billing questions, payments, policy inquiries, and general service needs.
  • Handle incoming mail, underwriter communications, and agency memos; distribute and follow up as needed.
  • Support policy renewal and retention efforts through outreach and customer service.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and/or policy reviews
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely follow-up on service requests and retention calls.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure smooth communication and support agency-wide goals.
  • Follow established agency procedures and compliance requirements in handling customer data and financial transactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with State Farm products, systems, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active Texas Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance license (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or customer-focused environments.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and exceed performance metrics.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
