As a Financial Services Representative – State Farm Agent Team Member with Raymond Scott - State Farm Agent, we're looking for a driven, people-first professional who wants to build a meaningful career helping families protect what matters most and grow their wealth. This isn't an order-taking role — it's a consultative position where you'll use a needs-based approach to uncover coverage gaps, recommend the right solutions, and guide customers through some of the most important financial decisions of their lives.
You'll join Raymond Scott - State Farm Agent, a top-performing State Farm agency that invests in its people. If you have the drive, we'll invest in your growth — including sponsoring your training and licensing for securities and investment advisory credentials so you can expand into comprehensive financial planning.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Conduct thorough, needs-based financial reviews to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate Life, Health, and financial products.
• Educate customers on their options — not just sell them a policy. Help them understand the "why" behind every recommendation.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects through outbound calls, referrals, networking, digital leads, and community engagement.
• Partner with the agent to set and exceed marketing and production goals across Life, Health, and investment product lines.
• Schedule and conduct appointments, prepare illustrations and proposals, and guide customers through the application process.
• Stay current on product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records in agency management systems and follow up with clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
• Provide exceptional service that earns referrals, five-star reviews, and long-term client relationships.
LICENSING & CAREER GROWTH PATH

• Active Texas Life, Accident & Health, and HMO license
• Active Texas Property & Casualty license

• Series 63 — State securities law exam (required companion to Series 6 for state registration)
• Series 65 — Investment Adviser Representative (fee-based financial planning and advisory services)
Already Series 7 Licensed?
Have an active Series 7 (General Securities Representative), we'll sponsor your Series 66 (combines Series 63 + 65) to complete your advisory credentials.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Active Texas Life, Accident & Health, HMO, and Property & Casualty licenses (non-negotiable).
• 1–3+ years of experience in insurance sales, financial services, or a related consultative sales role preferred.
• A genuine interest in helping people — you lead with empathy and earn trust before you earn a sale.
• Strong communication skills: you can explain complex financial concepts in plain language.
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close.
• Analytical mindset — comfortable working with financial illustrations, coverage analysis, and needs-based recommendations.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning agency-specific technology platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is a plus but not required — we value hustle and aptitude.
BENEFITS
• Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and performance bonuses
• Paid training and full sponsorship for Series 6, 63, and 65 licensing exams
• Paid time off — vacation, personal days, and sick leave
