Ginny Thompson State Farm is seeking a highly service-oriented Customer Care Manager who thrives on helping customers, solving problems, and delivering a consistently outstanding service experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, managing day-to-day service needs, and ensuring customers feel supported every step of the way.

While this role is primarily service-focused, the ideal candidate will also be comfortable identifying opportunities where customers may benefit from additional coverage and appropriately referring those opportunities to our sales team.

Licensing Requirement (Job Contingent)

  • This position is contingent upon becoming fully licensed.
  • Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to Day 1 start in the office (full licensing support provided)
  • Life & Health license must be obtained within 45 days of starting
  • Our agency provides full guidance and support throughout the licensing process to help you succeed.

Role Overview

As a Customer Care Manager, you will help oversee daily service operations and ensure customers receive timely, accurate, and professional support. You will assist with policy updates, billing questions, claims support, and general customer service while maintaining strong relationships with policyholders.

This role also involves recognizing when customers may benefit from additional coverage and connecting those opportunities with the agency’s sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service and support to existing customers

Manage customer inquiries related to policies, billing, renewals, and coverage questions

Assist customers with policy updates, changes, and documentation

Support customers through the claims process and follow up as needed

Maintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions

Identify potential coverage needs and refer opportunities to the sales team

Coordinate communication within the team to ensure efficient service workflows

Support retention efforts and maintain strong long-term customer relationships

Qualifications

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to remain calm and professional during complex service situations

Prior customer service, office management, or administrative experience preferred

Insurance or State Farm experience preferred but not required

Ability to complete the licensing requirements outlined above
