Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Insurance Sales and Service Representative to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role combines proactive sales efforts with exceptional client service to support existing policyholders and attract new customers. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding client needs, presenting insurance solutions, and managing ongoing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels including referrals, networking, and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate insurance products (auto, home, life, health, etc.) tailored to clients’ requirements.
  • Prepare and present insurance quotes and policy options clearly and professionally.
  • Follow up with prospects to close sales and onboard new clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitive offerings to effectively position our services.
Service Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients via phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Assist clients with policy inquiries, changes, renewals, and billing questions.
  • Process new applications, endorsements, cancellations, and claims documentation accurately and timely.
  • Provide information about insurance products, coverage options, and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records. 
  • Support client retention and satisfaction efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell insurance products in accordance with client needs.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with insurance products, systems, and regulatory changes.
Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Respond promptly to incoming client calls and emails regarding sales inquiries and service requests.
  • Schedule and conduct client meetings (in-person or virtual) to discuss insurance needs and provide quotes.
  • Follow up on leads generated from marketing efforts and referrals.
  • Review and update client policies, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist clients with claims submissions and provide status updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to share insights and improve sales and service processes.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on new products, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in insurance sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using CRM software and other sales/service tools.
  • Valid insurance licenses as required by state or region (or willingness to obtain).
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and problem-solving.
Work Environment:

  • Mostly desk-based work, involving computer and phone use
  • May require extended periods of sitting and screen time
 

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
