About the Role
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving new business growth and maintaining strong client relationships by offering personalized insurance solutions that meet customer needs. This role combines consultative sales, lead management, and cross-selling strategies to support agency revenue goals. By providing exceptional service and demonstrating deep product knowledge, the Sales Account Manager helps build long-term loyalty and trust with State Farm customers.
Qualifications & Licensing
- P&C Insurance License (CO Resident Producer) – Upon Hiring On
- Life Insurance License (CO Resident Producer) – Within First 60-Days
- Health Insurance License (CO Resident Producer) – Within First 60-Days
- Variable Products License (CO Resident Producer) – Nice to Have
- LTC Products License (CO Resident Producer) – Nice to Have
Aptitude/Skills
- Business Development: Strong sales aptitude with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products
- Communications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients
- Performance Focused: Goal-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Sales Acumen: Confident in presenting insurance solutions and handling objections professionally
- Independent: Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organized: Effective time management and organizational skills for managing leads and follow-ups
- Software: Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, ECRM and other State Farm systems
- Product Expertise: Knowledge of State Farm products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements (or willingness to learn quickly)

- Adaptable: Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: By leveraging the State Farm sales process focused on putting customer needs first, effectively educate clients on the comprehensive products and services we offer.
- Sales: Work Customer leads as they become available: referrals, outbound calling, walk ins, StateFarm.com, etc.
- Sales: Efficiently manage opportunities through the ECRM system, overseeing the full application process from quoting to successful customer onboarding.
- Sales: Conduct IFR appointments with customers to verify sufficient coverage and uncover new sales opportunities.
- Customer Service: Follow up and manage customer accounts during their first 30 days after onboarding is complete.
- Marketing: In conjunction with the Agent, develop robust marketing strategies that enable the office to meet annual production goals.
- Admin: Complete tasks assigned in ECRM system daily.
- Training: Complete routine product and compliance training as assigned.
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
