Overview:
State Farm Insurance Agent located in Spokane, WA is seeking an outgoing, career oriented professional to join their team. As a State Farm team member for Darren Young - State Farm Agent, you will build and develop customer relationships within the communities the Agent serves to promote State Farm products and services, including; auto, home and life insurance as well as property and casualty insurance, and financial services. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.
Position Title: Insurance Sales & Customer Success Associate
Hiring Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience and licensing based on performance results
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm (40 hours per week/12 months per year)
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs and market appropriate products and services
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs based review process to educate customers about insurance options
- Leverage appropriate social media and marketing platforms to promote product offerings and generate leads
- Provide timely and thorough follow-up with existing and prospective customers
- Provide accurate and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance offerings, eligibility, coverages policy changes, transfers, claims submissions, and billing clarification.
- Create marketing campaigns promoting the Agency
- Identify cross selling opportunities
- Completes follow-ups on new policies to keep retention level high and capitalize cross-selling opportunities
- Provide timely and accurate responses to all communications (text, phone calls, email, social media, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years’ sales experience
- Current license in property and casualty insurance in Washington state or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Current license in life and health insurance in Washington state or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools

- Successful track record of consistently meeting sales goals and metrics (new sales and customer retention)
- Self-motivated, detailed oriented, able to work both independently and as a team
- Experience with customer engagement and public presentations
- Experience in utilizing technology platforms and software systems
- Possess proactive problem solving with focus on both customer and compliance
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and judgement
- Ability to effectively collaborate and network
- Ability to effectively listen and empathize with others
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle common objections and educate customers in a consultative manner
- Demonstrated self-starter, motivated to learn and grow in a professional sales organization
- Professional business acumen, strong presence and confidence, and consistent professional demeanor leading with understanding, empathy and calmness
