Joining the office of Jake Kantola – State Farm Agent – means working directly with customers, helping them understand and choose the right insurance solutions for their needs, including auto, home, and life coverage. You’ll take an active role in building relationships within the community and contributing to the agency’s growth. This position also provides a clear view of the day-to-day responsibilities of a State Farm Agent for those who may want to pursue that path in the future.
 
Pay: $45,000 - $75,000 a year (salary + commission)
 
Job type: Full-time, in office (not remote)

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their coverage needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Generate new business through outbound calls, referrals, community engagement, and follow-ups.
  • Provide accurate quotes, explain policy options clearly, and guide customers through the application process.
  • Review existing policies with clients to ensure adequate coverage and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Keep detailed, organized records of client interactions, leads, and follow-up actions.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the agency team to meet sales goals and support smooth day-to-day operations.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong work ethic
  • Sales experience in outside sales, inside sales, retail, or telemarketing
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas
  • Passion for marketing products and services tailored to customer needs
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Genuine enthusiasm for how insurance and financial products help people manage risks, recover from setbacks, and achieve their dreams
  • People-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with pride in delivering accurate and timely work
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. By accepting this position, you are not guaranteed an agency position with State Farm Insurance Companies. As an agent team member, you will still need to go through the regular State Farm agent selection process when you are ready to pursue an agency opportunity.
